Enter one of nature’s spiritual places for a natural and musical acoustic forest walk at dusk.

Acoustic….raw, real, natural. The evening light that softly filters through the forest is gradually replaced by twilight and near silence. It is now quiet time in the forest…or is it? Let your senses guide you through this experience from start to end; close your eyes, breathe, listen, feel, be silent…..and you will be rewarded with a heightened awareness of the coolness in the air, humidity you can taste, and with natural and musical acoustic sounds near and far.

“It is in the still silence of nature that one will find true bliss.”

– J.J.C

There something truly magical about a sunset that folds itself into twilight before darkness. Join us to explore this time of day in a slow deliberate fashion, letting your senses guide you through one of the West Kootenay’s sacred forests. Let your senses of feel and hearing take over as slow darkness falls on the forest and be reminded of what acoustic really means: raw, real, natural. Immerse yourself in the forest in quiet reflection, and have a small taste of Vipassana, the simple meditation technique of being silent—the forest will decide what will be offered. A snack and hot drink will be served to seduce yet another of your senses. Your evening experience will culminate when the forest comes to life and silence becomes sweet sound, with music from a local singer/songwriter wafting through the trees…

About Diemm, Experience Collaborator

Diemm plays for that one note, that one resonant chord that opens a cascade of ‘yes’ inside you. She plays harp and sings. Her harp strings weave dense landscapes of rhythm and melody. Her voice is a bell, ringing you home.

Diemm’s first album ‘Ten Thousand Miracles in a Roomful of Regrets’ launched September 2018 in the genre of Chamber Folk.  Diemm is the artist name of Dawna McLennan. She’s performed previously under the name HarpPixie Trio, playing House Concerts and Cafes around BC, and on festival stages like Starbelly Jam, Salmon Arm R&B,Tiny Lights Festival. She’s been awarded grants from FACTOR Canada, Creative BC and Columbia Basin Trust, to pursue her musical visions.

Diemm’s concerts blur the line between performance and transformational offering. As a workshop leader and as a performer, Diemm holds hands with the Muse and bows to the power of music to align and illuminate. You’ll leave lighter, clearer, and more inspired than when you walked in, as though you’ve sprouted wings.

Diemm has the incredible ability to discuss heavy, sad, or even complicated topics in a manner that makes them sound light.’ ~Alana Ballantyne, Two Story Melody

‘Diemm sings a lot of otherworldly melodies that sound as if they might’ve been inspired by Indian ragas or Punjabi folk songs. And the spoken word pieces work because Dawna is a truly expressive raconteur‘. ~ Roots Music Canada
