How do I Edit my Event Post Template?

The Event Post is created as a custom post in WordPress, and uses the default single post template. If you want to change the Event Details page but leave the regular blog posts the same, for most themes you can do the following:

  1. Create a file called single-ai1ec_event.php and place it in your theme folder.
  2. Copy the contents of single.php into single-ai1ec_event.php. WordPress will automatically use this page now for the event details.
  3. Edit single-ai1ec_event.php to edit the page.

You can always go back to the original look and feel by deleting single-ai1ec_event.php

To change the colours and other items that are controlled by css, the best way to do this would be to create a child theme, and then add the changes you make to override.css

To change what event details show up, again create a child theme, copy the file single-event.php from vortex and edit what shows up there.
