This month’s release helps your team set up regular programs faster, rename dashboard terms to match your internal operations, reach key actions in fewer clicks, and charge the right taxes on every ticket. Here’s what’s new:
- New Event Templates: create standard event templates so you and your team save time when creating similar programs.
- Custom Dashboard Terminology: rename native terms and customize your Time.ly dashboard to best fit your organization’s specific daily use case, industry jargon or corporate language.
- Optimized Dashboard Navigation: a compact sidebar and new header configuration.
- Assign Taxes in the Ticket Level: apply different taxes, or none at all, to each ticket type in the same event.
1. New Event Templates
Templates give your team a dedicated library of ready-to-use starting points, kept separate from your drafts and published events. That’s a real time saver when running similar programs, and also a great way to keep your events organized in a big team.
- Build your standard once. Create a template from scratch, or turn any existing event into a template in a few clicks.
- Start with the details filled in. Pick a template when you create a new event, then adjust only what changes, like the date or the presenter.
- Never published by accident. Templates never appear on your public calendar.
- Keep your library organized. Find everything in the new Templates tab onder Evenementen, where you can create, search, filter, and archive templates.
- Built-in governance. A visible Template badge separates approved templates from works in progress. Only Admins can create or modify templates by default, so your standards stay intact while every user can build events from them., and

2. Custom Dashboard Terminology
You can now customize dashboard labels to match your organization’s terminology. When staff see the words they already use, onboarding is faster and adoption is easier across departments.
- Rename the terms your team sees. For example, “Events” can become “Programs” and “Bookings” can become “Room rentals” throughout the dashboard menus.
- Align your dashboard and public calendar. Pair custom dashboard terms with your public calendar’s relabelling, so staff and visitors use the same words.
- Customize by calendar. Give each calendar its own vocabulary to fit different departments, venues, or programs.
- Works in your team’s language. Custom labels apply across every language the Time.ly dashboard supports.
To set it up: Go to Instellingen > Algemeen > Kalendertaal en gebruiken Dashboard custom translations. It works similarly to custom translations for your public calendar.

3. Optimized Navigation Experience
Your navigation and most-used actions now sit exactly where you expect them. A more compact sidebar gives you more room to work, and the header brings your main actions together in one place.
- Make room when you need it. Collapse the sidebar into a slim icon bar, then expand it again with one click.
- Jump straight to any screen. With the sidebar collapsed, click a module icon to open a quick menu of its pages.
- Find key actions in the same place every time. The header now holds Add Event, Public View, QR Code, Embed Code, Support, Notifications, en Upgrade, always in that order.
- Choose your public view. If your account has both a calendar and spaces, Openbare weergave lets you open your Openbare agenda of uw Zicht op de openbare ruimte. Otherwise, it takes you straight to the one you have.

4. Assign Taxes by Ticket Type within the Same Event
Not every ticket is taxed the same way. Instead of one tax setting for the whole event, you can now assign taxes to each ticket type within the same event, so every ticket reflects the tax rules that apply to it.
For example, a conference can charge standard sales tax on general admission while offering a tax-exempt ticket for registered nonprofits or government agencies with a valid exemption certificate. Similarly, a gala package can apply one rate to admission and a different rate to an included dinner or merchandise.
- Mix and match taxes. Apply one or more taxes to each ticket type. Ticket types in the same event can carry different taxes, or none at all.
- Sell online and in person. Tax settings apply to online ticket sales and to sales at the Point of sales.
- Keep past orders accurate. Changes to a ticket type’s taxes apply to future purchases only, so past orders stay exactly as they were.
- Give finance a clear record. Orders and reports show the taxes applied to each ticket, so your finance team sees exactly what was charged.
To get started, add your taxes in Finance > Tax Options. Then select the taxes that apply to each ticket type in its Belastingopties veld.
Belangrijk: Organizers are responsible for determining which taxes apply to each ticket type and for verifying buyer eligibility for any exemption. Consult your tax advisor to confirm your requirements.
