This month’s updates focus on making event management more flexible and less time-consuming for both organizers and attendees. We’ve improved how you manage waiting lists, registration details, submission forms, and calendar displays—while also adding more control over ticket purchases and expanding payment support.

Here’s what’s new:

  • Waiting list improvements — Manage demand with more controls.
  • Purchase limits per user — Set purchase limits for tickets and RSVPs.
  • Editable registration details — Let attendees update fields after registration.
  • Document upload fields — Collect files through the submission form.
  • Long text custom fields — Capture longer responses on forms.
  • New month view setting Display week numbers in the calendar Month View.
  • New currency supported — Saudi Riyal.

1. Ticketing: Waiting List Improvements

You can now set a maximum number of waiting list subscriptions, choose between different notification modes, and use FIFO logic to prioritize users based on when they joined the list. A configurable hold window also controls when the next group of users is notified, helping your team manage demand with more structure.

2. Ticketing and RSVP: Set Limits Per User

You can now define a maximum number of purchases allowed per user for tickets and RSVPs.

This helps organizations prevent duplicate purchases and enforce fair access rules for exclusive, limited-capacity, or high-demand events. Please note that validation is at the purchaser’s level, not the attendee’s.

To configure purchase limits:

  • Open the event and go to Cost and Tickets
  • Set the Maximum number of purchases per user field

3. Ticketing and RSVP: External Users Can Edit Registration Details

Attendees can now edit their own ticketing custom field responses after completing a purchase.

This reduces manual correction requests sent to administrators and helps keep attendee information accurate without requiring staff intervention. Administrators can also control which fields remain editable after registration, giving teams flexibility over what data can be updated.

To enable editable registration details:

  • Go to Dashboard > Contacts > Settings
  • Enable Edit Registration Details

This feature requires Contacts Management to be enabled, and users must be signed in.

4. Community Events: Document Upload Fields

The submission form can now accept document uploads. This allows submitters to attach files such as permits, contracts, insurance certificates, technical riders, and supporting documentation during the event submission and room booking process. Uploaded documents are automatically stored in the Document Library, linked to the submitted event, and clearly identified when submitted by external users for easy filtering.

Files can be accessed from the Submitted Event screen, the Event screen, and the Document Library. This helps teams centralize required documents and simplify approval workflows, especially for organizations managing community submissions or space bookings through Timely space management software.

To configure document upload fields:

  • Go to Dashboard > Community Events > Settings > Fields
  • Add a new custom field and select the Document type
  • Select the destination folder for uploaded files
  • Click Save

5. Community Events: Long Text Custom Fields

A new Long Text custom field type is now available for both Community Event submissions and internal Event Forms.

Some questions require more than a short answer. With this update, Short Text fields continue to support up to 1,024 characters, while Long Text fields support up to 4,000 characters. This gives submitters and internal users more room to provide detailed descriptions, operational notes, planning information, or additional event context.

Long Text fields are currently available on the FES form and Dashboard Event Form. Additional entities will be supported in the future.

To add a Long Text field:

  • Go to Dashboard > Community Events > Settings > Fields.
  • Select Long Text as the field type.

Long Text fields are also available within Dashboard Event Forms.

6. Calendar Views: Display Week Number in Month View

The Month View can now display the week number alongside calendar rows.

This option is especially useful for organizations that schedule activities based on the number of the week, including schools, universities, manufacturing operations, and project-based teams. When enabled, a left-hand column shows the week number for each row in the calendar.

To enable week event totals:

  • Go to Dashboard > Settings > Design > Views
  • Enable Show week numbers in Month View

7. Payments: Saudi Riyal (SAR) Currency Support
