Timely Subscription Plan Questions, Answered

1. What is a workspace/calendar? Can I have multiple calendars?

A workspace is where you manage your community-serving organization: the programs you run, the spaces you steward, and the people you serve. Most subscription plans include one workspace. Enterprise plans can be customized for any number of workspaces under one account. Contact us for multi-workspace setups.

2. What is a domain? Can I install my Timely workspace on multiple websites?

A domain is the website where the public interface of your Timely workspace is embedded. Most plans include one domain, but you can embed your calendar and widgets on as many pages within that domain as you want. Custom domain counts are available for Enterprise clients. Contact us for multi-domain setups.

3. What is an event? Can I have unlimited events?

An event refers to any happening, occasion or activity created within a Timely workspace. For example, special events, performances, exhibitions, training courses, recreational programs, etc. For more details, please consult our Terms of Service.

Most subscription plans include a limited number of events per workspace. However, if you have specific needs, we can create a personalized plan offering unlimited events. To obtain additional information, please contact us.

4. What are system users? Can user licenses be shared?

A user is an individual with access to the backend of your Timely account (admin, editor, author, etc.). User licenses are designed for single-person use only; sharing a license violates our terms of service and weakens the security audit trail.

5. What are community submitters?

Submitters are external users — community members, faculty, or departments — who can submit events or request room bookings to your workspace. You control the approval workflow. This feature is available on Professional and Enterprise plans.

6. Can I try Timely before buying?

Absolutely! All plans include a 30-day free trial. You can signup for a trial in this Pricing page, and test all plan features before committing to a paid subscription. For larger organizations, we can arrange a guided trial. Contact us to learn more.

7. Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard and American Express. For annual Enterprise plans, we can also accommodate invoice, check, and ACH payments. Contact us to arrange this.

8. Do you offer discounts for nonprofits?

Yes. We offer an exclusive discount for qualifying nonprofit organizations and charities. Learn more about the Timely NPO Program.

9. Does Timely support SSO, APIs, and enterprise integrations?

Enterprise plans may include SSO/SAML, SIP2, federated authentication, Data Retrieval API access, and Webhooks. Other available integrations include Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Maps, iCal, MailChimp, Facebook, LinkedIn, and major payment gateways.

10. Is Timely compliant with WCAG, ADA Section 508, and other accessibility standards?

All Timely plans are compliant with global accessibility laws, including:

  • W3C International Standard: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA
  • United States: Section 508, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
  • Canada: Accessible Canada Act (ACA) and provincial laws, such as Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and Accessible British Columbia Act (ABCA)

11. Is Timely compliant with global privacy laws, such as CCPA/CPRA, PIPEDA, GDPR and LGPD?

Yes. According to our Privacy Policy, Timely is committed to protecting and respecting our customers’ privacy, wherever they are located. All Timely plans are compliant with global privacy laws, including:

  • California: California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA)
  • Canada: Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA)
  • European Union: General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

12. Does Timely provide additional services, such as customer support, implementation, and training?

Yes. Timely offers a range of additional services based on the subscription plan chosen by you. For example, the Lite plan offers customer support via our help center, video tutorials, AI chatbot, and ticket-based support.

On the other hand, Enterprise plan customers have access to more comprehensive options. These may include priority customer support, software implementation, and onboarding and training. For further information, please check our Professional Services page.

13. Where is my data stored, and how is it protected?

All customer data is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), the industry-leading cloud infrastructure. Our servers are located in the United States, Canada, and the European Union data regions. Contact us if you have specific data residency requirements.

Beyond where data lives, Timely applies multiple layers of security controls to protect it. This includes role-based access control (RBAC), two-factor authentication (2FA), HTTPS, data encryption, automated backups, disaster recovery, among other controls. Enterprise customers can request access to our Security Policies and Service Level Agreement (SLA) for RFP and procurement processes. Contact us to arrange this.

14. What customer support and professional services does Timely offer?

Every Timely plan includes access to our Help Center, on-demand video tutorials, 24/7 AI chatbot, and ticket-based support. Enterprise plan customers also receive priority support tickets, access to live video support calls, and a dedicated customer success agent.

For organizations that need hands-on expert help, our Professional Services team offers:

  • Software implementation and configuration
  • Data migration from other platforms
  • Calendar design and SEO setup
  • Ongoing managed event services

15. Is it possible to migrate my data from another platform?

Yes. There are several ways to migrate your data to Timely. For example, you can import all your event data via CSV or ICS file, or use our URL sync feed to import from other sources. Enterprise customers can rely on our Professional Services team for assisted data migration projects. Contact us to learn more.

16. Can I upgrade or cancel my subscription at any time?

Absolutely! You can upgrade your plan directly from your Timely account dashboard. For larger and complex projects, please contact us so we can tailor a customized plan and pricing package to your specific needs.
