Our August 2026 Product Update release introduces new tools to simplify financial management, streamline document collection, and improve multilingual event publishing. Administrators can now organize transactions with GL Accounts, collect supporting documents during registrations and ticket purchases, attach files to contact records, and sync translated event content across calendars.

Here’s what’s new:

  • GL Accounts — Organize revenue, taxes, discounts, and other financial transactions with customizable General Ledger accounts.
  • Document uploads for ticket orders — Collect required files during ticket purchases and registrations.
  • Document uploads for contacts — Store and manage documents directly from contact profiles.
  • Event translation syncing — Import translated event details between calendars to keep multilingual content consistent.

1. Finance: GL Accounts

You can now organize revenue, tax, and discount transactions using accounting categories created in the new Finance section.

Administrators can create accounts with a code, name, and type, then set a default account for each transaction category. Specific accounts can also be assigned to tickets, spaces, resources, services and fees, membership plans, taxes, and promotional codes.

To create an account:

  1. Go to Finance > GL Accounts
  2. Click Add Account
  3. Enter the account code, name, and type
  4. Decide if you’d like to set it as the default and click Create Account

The account used at the time of purchase remains connected to the transaction, even if the account settings change later. Administrators can also apply a newly assigned account to previous transactions that do not yet have one.

This feature is available for selected plans. Please contact us to confirm access.

2. Document Uploads for Ticket Orders

You can now add document upload fields to ticket types and booking forms. This allows organizers to collect waivers, certifications, identification documents, and other required files as part of the registration process.

To configure document uploads for event tickets:

  1. Open an event and go to Cost and Tickets
  2. Add a custom field at the booking form level or ticket level
  3. Select Document as the field type
  4. Set is as required or leave it as optional and click Save.

It is possible to upload documents during public ticket checkout, Point of Sale checkout, booking requests, and attendee detail updates. All uploaded files are stored in the Document Library.

Users can remove or replace their files when needed. Exported reports can also contain document filenames.

3. Document Upload Fields for Contacts

You can now collect and store documents directly with each contact profile, making it easier to keep waivers, identification copies, certifications, and other important files organized in one place.

It is possible to collect documents when someone signs up, purchases a ticket, updates their My Profile page, or submits an event. Files are stored in the Document Library and linked to the corresponding contact. This helps your team find the right document without managing separate email attachments or external folders.

To configure document uploads for contacts:

  1. Go to Contacts > Settings > Custom Fields
  2. Add a new custom field
  3. Select Document as the field type

Configure the label, required status, and destination folder

Users can remove or replace their uploaded documents when needed. For privacy reasons, the sign-up form shows the document filename but does not allow previously uploaded files to be downloaded.

4. Sync Event Translations Through Calendar Feeds

If your organization manages multiple calendars, translated event content can now move with imported events. This reduces the need to recreate translations manually and helps keep multilingual event information consistent across departments, locations, or regional calendars.

When enabled, translated event titles and descriptions are imported with the event. New languages and translation updates from the original calendar synchronize automatically.

To import event translations:

  1. Go to Import Events > My Feeds > Import Preferences
  2. Enable Import event translations
  3. Save the feed settings

If you edit a translation directly in the destination calendar, your changes are preserved during future updates.

This option applies to calendar import feeds and makes it easier to maintain multilingual calendars with Timely event calendar software.
