
Discover the latest enhancements in Timely’s April software update. From our new Resource Management module for venue bookings, to improved reports and invite-only events, these updates are designed to streamline venue operations, improve user experience, and simplify your event workflows!
1. New: Resources Management for Venue Bookings
We’re excited to introduce a major release for venue bookings - the Resource Management module. A comprehensive suite of tools designed to streamline the handling and booking of resources.
This dedicated functionality allows you to register and categorize resources, track inventory in real time, and manage resource bookings from the dashboard while facilitating resource reservations through your public space calendar.

Built specifically for venue management scenarios, this module enhances coordination and improves the customer experience with the possibility to book resources together with the venue.

Further, within the Availability tab, you can access a detailed daily overview of all resource reservations. An organized snapshot that aids in effective management of resources.

2. New: Filters and Custom Fields for Submitters
We’ve introduced the ability to create custom filters and fields for Submitter contacts. Custom filters allow you to group and profile submitters. Custom fields let you request specific information during sign-up or event submission.
This allows for better personalization and segmentation of your submitters. It also ensures you collect the data you need to manage contacts more effectively.
You can now also access Submitters from both the Community Events and Contacts menus for a more streamlined experience.

3. New: Invitation-Only Events
You can now restrict ticket sales or RSVPs to a predefined guest list. This feature is ideal for VIP events, member-only programs, or private internal sessions, ensuring only approved attendees can view or register for the event.

4. Enhanced: Submitter and Purchaser Interfaces
Submitters and Purchasers now share the same filter system (Contact filters). Therefore, any filter created with the "Contacts" type is accessible by both user types. Further, this unified approach allows for consistent and streamlined data segmentation for contacts.
Additionally, the individual pop-up layout has been completely redesigned for submitters and purchasers. It now offers a cleaner interface, making it easier to view and edit information for specific users.

5. Enhanced: Streamlined Reports
The updated Event Reports section gives you full control over which fields to display and export. Therefore, with a more intuitive interface, reporting is now faster and more customizable.

What’s Coming Next?
We’re expanding our Reports section to include RSVP, Ticketing, and Contact data soon, giving you more visibility into attendee engagement and sales performance. You’ll be able to customize fields, apply filters, and export key insights just like in the current Events report. Stay tuned for more updates!
