Product Update: April 5, 2022
At Timely, we are constantly improving our event software solutions. In this post, you will learn about our product update posted on April 5, 2022, which includes improvements on accessibility, map view, and email templates to better manage events submitted by the community.
1. Web Accessibility Improvements
Web accessibility involves an inclusive practice of ensuring websites and software applications are accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities.
At Timely, we take accessibility seriously, and are constantly improving our event software solutions so our clients can comply with accessibility rules, such as Section 508 and the WCAG 2.1.
This month we’ve made significant improvements in the accessibility of the public interface of our software. In particular, we improved the month view and toolbar for keyboard-only navigation.
2. Map View is Now Available in More Plans
The Map View was added to several plans, increasing the possibility of views for your calendar. Now your customer can see where the events are taking place using the Google Maps tool.
To make use of the new view, you have to provide a Google Maps API key for the map view to work correctly.

3. New Email Templates for Event Submission Automations
Now, you can edit the templates for the emails that you and your submitter receive when a new account is created. The new email templates are:
- Submitter Access Request;
- Submitter Request Approved;
- Submitter Request Rejected; and
- Submitter Welcome.
Additionally, you will be able to edit the emails that you and your submitter receive when a new event is created. The new email templates are:
- Event Accepted;
- Event Not Published;
- Event Submitted; and
- New Event Submission.
You will be able to benefit from this improvement if you have an event submission form integrated with your Timely events calendar. In other words, if you have Community Events features in your plan, and accept event submissions from the community.
