Product Update: September 2026

September brings a streamlined reservation experience for venues, collective registration for households and groups, and the arrival of financial reporting to complement our new GL classification system. Explore what’s new:

  • Bookings: a better space reservation experience for your team and clients, from public request to front-desk checkout.
  • Households: a simpler way for families, colleagues, or dependents to register and pay together.
  • GL Accounts - Reports and Financial Transactions: GL classification now flows into exports and a new unified financial report.

1. Bookings: Improved Space Reservation Experience

The new Bookings menu gives your team and clients an improved dedicated space and resource reservation experience — separate from the Community Events menu.

As before, customers can discover, request, and pay for a space entirely on their own, while your team keeps full control from the dashboard.

What is different:

  • You choose when payment happens: charge as soon as a request comes in, or review first and charge only after you approve it.
  • Customers track every reservation, pay any balance, or cancel from the My Bookings section of the public view.
  • Your team can create a booking for any customer straight from the dashboard and take payment by card, card reader, cash, or check.
  • A new Bookings report gives you a full, filterable view of reservation activity, with customizable columns and one-click CSV export.

2. Households: Group Ticketing and Membership

Households let you group people who belong together, like family members, colleagues, or dependents. One person can buy tickets and memberships for the whole group and assign each one to the person who'll actually use it.

Households: Group Ticketing and Membership
  • You, or your customers, can create and manage households from the dashboard or the public sign-up page, adding, editing, or removing members anytime.
  • At checkout, the buyer assigns each ticket or membership to a specific person in the household, not just a name typed into a box, so every purchase is tied to a real person with their own history.
You, or your customers, can create and manage households from the dashboard or the public sign-up page, adding, editing, or removing members anytime.
  • Even household members who haven’t created an account are tracked, so nothing gets lost.
  • Everyone in the household can see what others have purchased on their behalf.
  • You can search by household anywhere you look at orders, tickets, or RSVPs. So it's easy to find everything tied to one family or team.

This feature is built with organizations that sell to groups in mind. Such as, recreation centers, associations, congregations, and anywhere one person typically buys on behalf of others.

3. GL Accounts: New Financial Reports and Transaction Exports

Last month's release introduced GL Accounts for building a chart of accounts. This month, that classification flows into your exports and into a new report built specifically for reconciliation.

  • GL Account Name and GL Account Code now appear in CSV exports across Ticketing, Bookings, Membership, and Reports. Always reflecting the account that was in place at the time of the transaction.
  • The new Financial Transactions report brings every transaction across Time.ly, ticket sales, bookings, membership purchases, taxes, discounts, and fees, into a single filterable view.
GL Accounts: New Financial Reports and Transaction Exports
  • Export the full dataset to CSV in one click, including GL classification, payment provider, net amounts, and fee details.
  • Unclassified transactions always show up too. That is, with blank GL columns rather than being left out, so your reconciliation never misses anything.

What This Means for Your Team

Whether you're running a venue, managing a community of families and teams, or closing the books, this update gives you a system built for how you actually work. Venues get a booking engine that works online and at the front desk. Community organizations get a cleaner way to sell to groups instead of individuals. Finance teams get a reporting layer they can actually reconcile against.
